Salem witch trials are one of my favorite periods of American History; it fascinates me that, with one of the reasons for the establishment of the colonies being the absence of religious persecution, how this could've escalated so quickly. I loved The Crucible, but I had completely forgotten that Miller wrote it as a protest against the similar witch hunt that was happening with the McCarthy hearings, thanks for the reminder. Great podcast!!
