ANN

My name is Ann Robertson let me just quickly tell you about my obsession with all things WW1.  About 30 years ago I was given a book written by Lyn Macdonald about the V.A.D's and the work they did in the conflict - from that moment, I became completely obsessed, and wanted to know about the young men, their letters home, their bravery as well as their fears.  This has never left me, and I now refer to these Soldiers as 'my Boys'. I have been lucky enough to visit the sites and I felt very saddened yet uplifted, and it brought the whole horror from the page into my heart.
